About the Film
Territory 8 is an existential thriller set in the not so distant future, where an eight mile quarantine zone in the Nevada Desert, known as Territory 8, is the site of the world’s largest man-made disaster.

Shortly after a chemical weapon explosion contaminated the area, two temperamental scientists, each with their own objectives, find themselves in the working on a cure for a biological weapon – that one of them created.
As they work, they discover a sinister plot for human experimentation, and a band of hostile survivors who are looking to escape at any cost. They also must contend with the Chinese government, who wants access to the weapon, and has a possible spy in their midst.
Now the scientists will have to work together to expose the truth, and stay alive.
Territory 8 is a tale of intrigue, suspense, and international mystery, which sheds light on the public’s growing distrust of big industry, and its effects on our environment.
About the Director, Kelly Schwarze
Kelly Schwarze started his movie career at a young age. Inspired by the likes of Walt Disney, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, Kelly has followed a similar career path of becoming not only a film director, but also a producer and businessman.
After high school, Kelly attended university at UNLV and CSN, where he studied both film and animation. During his junior year of college, Kelly interned for the CineVegas Film Festival where he connected with other filmmakers who were producing and making their own films. This proved to Kelly that he could also make his own films. “Why not? These guys are doing it, and they have no money. I think I could the same, and maybe better!”
During his summer break Kelly took a PA gig with Warner Brothers TV show. While on set one day, Kelly said he had a revelation, “I watched the director on set and noticed how much fun he was having. It was like watching a kid playing with a train set. Although this set was not a toy, and it was huge! It was at this moment, that I discovered that I wanted to direct.”
Kelly’s PA gig ended when the TV show was cancelled. However, his experience being on a large Hollywood set would be an impression that would drive him to starting his own film production company, Prowerks Media Group.
Kelly’s latest feature film, Territory 8, marks his fifth feature film.
